I remember reading a post entitled "7 things," and thought now's as good a time as any to give it a try.
7 Things you might not know (and frankly, you might not even care...)
1. At the first hint of a cool front every autumn, I break out the Christmas music. Yes. That inaugural nip in the air brings with it velour jogging suits and jingle bells, carving the pumpkin and silent night. It warms my heart and makes me smile. Come into the minivan today and rock out to Josh Groban's Little Drummer Boy--my new favorite. I. Heart. Christmas. Tunes.
2. I obsess a bit over the feedjit and comment features on my blog. It's the instant gratification that someone "out there" is reading my stories that makes a blog way more fun than a journal. I was always such a bad journal writer anyway. I'd write an entry or two, then 8 months later write a couple pages, then maybe a few months after that, write my final Dear Diary...
3. I love Texas. I'm a Texas snob, actually. I can't imagine ever leaving. It's big. It's friendly. It's beautiful. It's home. There are piney woods, beaches, deserts, mountains. There are Bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes every spring. It's home to the Longhorns, mockingbirds, and my favorite word...y'all.
4. I've worn glasses for 23 years. I am completely horrified of contact lenses. I'm afraid of putting anything in my eyes. I'm scared of drops, and you should see how many tries it takes for the doctor to do the glaucoma test (you know~the puff of air) during my eye exam. It's a bit ridiculous really.
5. I believe that Major Applewhite is responsible for every offensive play that has worked this season for the Longhorns.
6. I'm a self-proclaimed elitist. I think that my taste in music and movies and Tex-Mex is better than most people's. Really. I'm not joking.
7. One of my guilty pleasures...Webkinz. When the kids go to bed, and I have a moment to myself, I run to the computer, log on as one of the children...and have at it in Webkinz World. The Easter Bunny even brought "Lucy" a Webkinz puppy...;) For all of you closet Webkinz fans out there, give it up for gardening, the illusive Crown of Wonder, Tile Towers, and Kinzville Academy. Yeah Baby.

Oh my gosh Katie...
I confess...I've already put together a new playllist of Christmas music, and Josh Groban's "The Little Drummer Boy" is on it!
And I love Texas too...I'm a Georgia girl by birth, but I've become a Texas at heart.
And who knew you were obsessed with Webkinz?
I drove by Champions last week and tsk tsk'd the Christmas decorations going up, but last night I was fiddling with my Christmas playlists also. David Bowie and Bing Crosby.... BEST Christmas Song ever. (Alek prefers Christmas in Sarajevo.)
Katie.... check out Stuff White People Like. You're a White People, baby.....
Also, I can't relate to the Webkinz thing. Can't relate to Alek saying, "I didn't dig for a jewel yet today, but it says I did!" Or Nora suddenly having oh, I don't know, a fountain and a trampoline appear magically in her backyard...... and the games? Who would take pleasure in children's games?????? (Everyone knows Home Before Dark is the best Webkinz game.)
Congratulations on 100 posts and Merry Christmas! I haven't pulled out the Christmas music. Since Keith's birthday is the last day of November, I refuse to do any holiday stuff until Dec. 1 - I know I'm a Grinch :)

#4, the fear of putting something in our eyes.....hereditary! From dear ole Mom, though. Won't mention the other lovely things inherited from me. He he!!
