On my way to Coffee Talk, I started thinking about what a difference a year makes.
Last year, Lucy was in the 2-year-old class and was rather insulted that she couldn't stay in the 4-year-old class with Rose. She wore diapers and brought a sippy cup to school.
This year, Lucy is on the "big kid" hallway. Everyone is potty trained, and she brings a fancy water bottle to school.
Last year I dropped the girls off at preschool and returned to an empty car. I had four hours to myself each day.
This year I dropped Lucy off at preschool, and then Isaac joined me for coffee with friends. My hands are not empty. They are juggling a baby, his bulky seat, a stroller, a diaper bag.
A year ago I felt lost. I didn't even know how to grocery shop alone without a buddy in the shopping cart "helping" me. But I got used to it.
Last year I started daydreaming about working again...what I would do...where I would teach.
This year I have started over again with Isaac, and I can't fathom where we'll be in five or six years when he starts Kindergarten.
How can last year seem like yesterday and like a lifetime ago all at the same time? This year we're here...we're balanced, full, happy, and right where we're supposed to be.

What a cutie. And so far that marks 2 gymboree outfits that both Hailey and Lucy have in pics :) (Yes, I have a shopping problem there)
I love that you are blogging regularly again! This post made me cry! (I bet you could have guessed that, though!)
But then I laughed because the "word verification" word was "waft"!
LOVE LOVE LOVE that first picture of Lucy and Jeremy! Glad she loves school and you get some mommy and Isaac time each week!
