Goodbye Summer

Last night we said goodbye to the XXIX Olympiad and the summer. We celebrated with the Liardon Olympics in our backyard--complete with the 50 meter sprint, gymnastics floor exercise, soccer, and diving.

Medal Ceremony for Gymnastics

(I was robbed--the Russian judge jipped me--I even added 3 cartwheels to my routine, much to the chagrin of my 31-year old hamstrings.)

Medal Ceremony for Soccer

Thomas and Anna won the gold.

Today Thomas started 1st grade. He met his teacher Friday and has some good buddies in his class. I hope he has a fantastic year. Today is his 1/2 birthday, so I'm baking him cookies to eat when he gets off the bus.Photobucket

I agree with Lauren. If everyone could have as much fun as y'all, the world might be a perfect place. I love you guys!

That is hilarious! I can't wait for my kids to get older enough to do stuff like this.
