School's Out!

Today was Thomas's last day of Kindergarten. It's so hard to believe that my little guy is a reader, a writer, a friend. He's funny, honest, a hard worker, a straight "E" student (they don't get grades until next year).

When he got off the bus I started singing that Alice Cooper song "School's Out For Summer!" He looked at me like I'd lost my mind and said, "Can I go in and play my DS?" I said, "Thomas! You're a 1st Grader!!!" To that he replied, "When I'm in 5th grade, I'll get a party and eat Chick-fil-a." Whatever. At least one of us is excited.
