Happy Tax Day!

Well, it's April 15. Where does the time go? Sheesh. Here is a random assortment of pictures and stories from the last week...

Friday night was Family Fun Night at Thomas's school. It's the school's main fundraiser--dinner, games, and a silent auction. We ate our hot dogs, then headed over to the gym for some fun. As we were walking around looking at each auction basket, we noticed a big banner on the gym wall that said "Top Ten Milers." Beneath it were lists of the girls and boys with the best time on their mile run for each grade level. Thomas is the top Kindergartener. (We figured this already because he brings home little certificates for his running occasionally.)

Well, Jeremy leaned over to my ear, real secretively, and started whispering. "Get the camera." "What?" "Do you have the camera?" "Jeremy! We are not going over there in the middle of this auction and taking a picture of the gym wall! Inappropriate." He just had to have proof. I just don't have any idea where Thomas gets his competitiveness...
We got 4 new trees for our yard this weekend, and their names are--you guessed it--Thomas, Anna, Rose, and Lucy. We planted two in the front and two in the back. Here are the older 3 standing with their trees.

Jeremy and Lucy at Willie's Ice House after Thomas's soccer game on Saturday. The weather was beautiful, and the kids played in the sand pit for two hours.

Melanie, Brady, and Claire came for a visit for a couple days. We had fun with them here. We didn't do a whole lot--there are six kids between us, including a 2 week and 10 week old. But it was fun having the cousins together.

Melanie giving Lucy some tummy time.

Claire and Lucy in their matching ladybug outfits.

Yea! Cookies! Notice the booboo on Brady's forehead--he fell down my stairs twice. It never stopped him, though. It was like matchbox car heaven up there in the playroom!
