Father's Day in the ATX

We made a last minute decision to leave from Thomas's meet for a getaway to Austin to see Mamaw and catch up with Jennifer and the kids.  It was a perfect, good-for-the-soul weekend.
We spent the afternoon with Mamaw catching up, playing Racko, and licking her candy dishes dry.  Now everyone knows why I don't keep a candy dish at home.  We can't behave ourselves apparently.
The "Maes" ~ Lucy is always ready with the biggest hug for Mamaw

Jeremy's strategizing was no match for me that day!

Rose was my Racko partner.  We wiped the floor with everyone.  :)
Mamaw's walker was a major source of entertainment once we banned the kids from the gumball machine.

Then we headed over to the Chuy's patio for dinner with Jennifer and the kids.

I love Isaac's admiring grin.

Oh....Lucy.

Then it was dessert for all of our rule followers.

 Slumber Party!!

No slumber party is complete without donuts for breakfast.
We spent Father's Day having lunch with Mamaw and watching the U.S. Open.  The kids played in her yard for hours and snuck soft drinks out of her garage fridge like many grandchildren and great-grandchildren before them.  Perfect day.
