Lucy's Second Day

(written by Jeremy)
Lucy had a great second day. She and Mom got check ups and everything is looking perfect. We will be taking her home tomorrow. She's been a breeze. She's a very quiet, content, cute baby.

Enjoy some images of her second day.

Rose seemed a little more interested in her new little sister today. She got to see her twice. Mimi (my Mom) has done a great job of helping her to get used to the situation.

Shane and Susan Dunbar (Lucy's godparents) brought their precious little girl Claire to visit this morning. Then Shane had to rush off for an important business lunch. It was really nice of them to drop by on a hectic work day though.

One of the coolest stories surrounding Lucy's birth was the connection to my long-time co-worker and good friend Hilary Hignight and the birth of her first child. Hilary and her husband Ryan had their new little boy (Hunter Colt) across the hall from us 3 hours before Lucy was born. To add to the coincidence, the babies were delivered by the same doctor. We got them together to meet and to allow Lucy to try and explain to Hunter what "elite eight" means...

Lucy got to meet her Nana and Aunt Lauren in the evening. I wish all could've seen them kindly battling for "baby time." It was cordial but entertaining. Sort of like watching a child that needs to go to the bathroom. ;-)

Lucy's feet. She got the best qualities of both of her parents in this area. We're currently in negotiations for her foot modeling contract.

I LOVE this post and I LOVE that little Lucy!!! I LOVE all the pictures and I LOVE her little nose!!! Oh my gosh it makes me want to pack everything up and head down there right NOW! I'm so sad I'm here posting instead of fighting to hold her :(

She is adorable! I feel the same way Aunt Melanie feels - JEALOUS of all those people holding her! I'm wondering what Hunter thought about the meaning of elite eight and if he asked his parents to buy him some new clothes...

This is the next best thing to being there. She is still precious! I'm a little jealous too, but I'll get over it. Let the fun begin!!! I love you, GREAT aunt Susan

I love the pic of Lucy and Hunter in their college gear. That is great. Thanks for making it easier for the Royce people to visit both of you at once :)
