A Visit

20 years ago, we were about to start our Senior year of high school.  We wore Converse and Doc Martens.  Green Day was popular, but we had Indigo Girls concert tickets.  The show Friends premiered but we were too busy to notice with Our Town, Hamlet, Tartuffe, Trojan Women, and The Glass Menagerie to keep us busy.  There was Mrs. LaCroix's AP English class, boys, Drama Club, and part time jobs.  Life was good.  We savored that Senior year, and with graduation, a trip to London, and college on the horizon, we kept each other close.

Now we have seven kids, we DVR the show Parenthood every Thursday, and discuss our favorite books.  We have a phone call a week that wouldn't be complete without someone's kid crying in the background.  Life is good.  And it's even better when we get to visit.

Taylor and Gary came to visit with the kids.  We had a fun weekend catching up.  I love this friendship.  It's one of my favorite things.  :)
