Vacation Post 4--Birthday dinner

When we checked in, Jeremy asked the people at the front desk where people eat in Pottsboro, TX.  The UPS guy just happened to be standing there and he said, "Roma's.  Without a doubt."

Jeremy figured if anyone knew, it was the UPS guy.  And Isaac loves pizza, so we decided to go to dinner there for his birthday.  Being from the big city, we called ahead to make sure there would be seating for seven people.  Turns out that probably wasn't necessary.  Who knew Pottsboro wouldn't really be that happening on a Thursday night in August?

We entered into the closest thing to a Coen Brothers movie ever.  Our GPS led us down an almost deserted street into a deserted shopping center.  The only sign of life in the shopping strip was one parked car and a little boy riding his bike~alone~down the sidewalk in front of the stores.

We walked into Roma's to find our table had been set.  Yea for calling ahead.  The little boy followed us in.  Turns out his parents own the joint.  They are a cute couple from Italy.  Italy!  What possesses someone from Italy to move to Pottsboro, TX and open a little restaurant!?  It slays me.  Anywho, the car belonged to the only other patrons at the restaurant--a couple wearing matching Texas Rangers T-shirts.  They blatantly stared at us forEVER.  As PeeWee would say, take a picture, it'll last longer.
Really, they were probably thinking, oh that's who calls ahead at Roma's...city people with 5 children.

It turns out that the couple from Italy know what they're doing, and I ate the best pizza I've ever eaten.  In my life.  I do not exaggerate.  So, if you're ever in Pottsboro, you know where to go.
