Thankful for Thursday

1.  I'm so thankful for the little cool snap we have had.  This is a late April rarity in Houston.  It means I can wear my treasured sweaters a little longer.  I put on my newish pink cardi from Target last week, and texted Taylor a remember when text.  Remember when I coveted (like major breaking the tenth commandment kind of coveting) your comfy, green Gap cardigan?  Y'all.  I wanted it so bad.  I've always been a sweater girl, and I'm not ashamed of this.  Glasses and sweaters.  It means I'm smart and you must take me seriously.  Seriously.

2.  I'm thankful for Holly.  She has given Anna a purpose.  She's given someone who was already comfortable in her own skin, even more confidence than she had before.  Anna has gracefully taken on the responsibility of pet ownership and blossomed since Santa left this crazy gift under the tree.

 3.  I'm thankful for this beauty.  And I'm thankful she has an awesome dad that took her on a date to a masquerade ball with *almost* no balking about his sequin-y black mask.  Or is it masque?  I'm thankful she got some one-on-one time with her Daddy.

 4.  Gosh, I'm sure thankful for my boys.

 5.  I'm proud to say that we have kept up our Sabbath Simplicity pretty well.  We do very few chores, if any, on Sunday. We don't grocery shop.  We do our best to simply be together.  Last week we walked to the neighborhood gazebo and played Hide and Seek.  I learned that I'm a slow runner, and also I'm too big to hide behind pine trees.  But it was fun, nonetheless.  ;)  So thankful for these people that I can call mine.
