Sunday Snippets

1. In honor of the kids going back to school tomorrow I painted my fingernails. I do that once every ten years or so. The color I chose for this once a decade occasion: brown. (OPI Over the Taupe to be exact.)

2. Before Spring Break, Anna sang in the 2nd grade musical BUGZ. It was cute. I made her costume. My kids still haven't figured out that their mommy really isn't that great at stuff like that.
3. Lucy has been entertaining as usual. Here are a couple good quotes from the last few weeks:

Lucy: My birthday party is going to be at Chuck E. Cheese.
Jeremy: Am I invited?
Lucy: Yes! And my friends are going to laugh at you.
Jeremy: Is that because I'm silly?
Lucy: It's because you're bald.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lucy: I'm going to marry Collin, and he doesn't even know I'm his girlfriend yet.
4. Here's a long story short: Eighteen months ago we put our house on the market. Then we built a house. It was on a cul-de-sac and it was a 1 1/2 story home and it was pretty awesome. The kids even had their names spray-painted on the slab where their bedrooms would be. But then we didn't sell our current home. One of the houses had to sell, so we ended up with both on the market. A month ago the new house sold to a nice family who loves the house. They close on it soon. We drove by the house the other day and I was suprised by how sad I was. I am filled with relief, content, and just a little sadness. It's been 18 months of learning to "let go and let God."
Anna's costume is adorable so way to fake it, my dear. I dread those days...I am total crap with a needle and thread.
Also, I'm so sorry about your other house. I would be sad about that, too. God's plans are always better than our own...still, hard to see something you wanted so much go to someone else.
