1. It's a rainy, wet Monday here in southeast Texas. I did all I could to avoid puddles all day, because I hate when the bottom of my velour pants get wet. Then Lucy overflowed the guest bathroom toilet. Water, water everywhere. Including my pants. Ew.
2. Thomas had a fish named Harry. Harry died. Like 2 months ago. Thomas was distraught, and begged me not to flush Harry down the toilet. He was crying so hard. "Pleeeease Mommy. Let me keep him on my desk." So, I let him. I let him keep a dirty, murky fish tank on his desk containing a decomposing fish carcass because I'm that kind of mom. Then yesterday, out of the clear blue sky (except the sky hasn't been clear or blue lately), an exasperated Thomas shouted, "Mommy! Can you please get rid of this dead fish? It's making me want to puke!" I'd say he's over it.
3. I don't even want to talk about how upset I am that our local NBC station took Ellen off at noon and replaced her with boring, lacks-personality Nate Berkus. I liked turning on my kitchen tv and giggling through my lunch hour. I had to resort to the new Family Feud the other day. And Nate Berkus started looking a whole lot better, let me tell you. Dumb questions. Even dumber answers. Here's an example: Name a monster that is a little bit human. Really? Dumb answer number 1: Cookie Monster. Dumb answer number 2. A Gorilla.
4. Lucy told crying, whining Rose to get over herself at the dinner table last night. I'm glad to impart the importance of compassion and kindness to my children. It's catching on, don'tcha think?

Ok, I was cracking up out loud at your entire post...especially the fish. But. They took Ellen off the air? What? Please tell me she's just on at a different time now. I too miss watching her at lunch. SD shows her at 3, so now I just DVR her and play it the next day at lunch. It's the little things...
I've never had Ellen at lunch, but it sounds delightful. I also dvr'd it, and watched it whenever I could sneak in an hour with no kids. (translated: i ended up deleting most of them to make room for other things on my dvr bc i never have an hour without kids.) That's funny about the fish, totally something I would do. Love you.
Haha! I didn't know Harry was dead up in Thomas's room! Why didn't you tell me? That's hilarious! I would have LOVED to see that! You are so funny!
:) I love Ellen, but the rest of it is garbage. I guess the one good thing about working all day is missing out on craptastic daytime tv.
hahahahaha Katie. SO gross about the fish. Ellen is on at 3 here and gets DVR'd daily! I watch when she has someone on I want to see :)
