I then cracked up, as I came to a quick realization. That could only mean one thing.
But wait. I'm not old like these people...am I? Let's see...
*Got my first DMB CD when I was 17. That was, ahem, 15 years ago.
*First time I saw DMB in concert it was 1996. I was 19, drove a 1992 Nissan Sentra, drank a Coke at the concert, was sad that he didn't sing Dancing Nancies and Say Goodbye, and, "Like, gross! No way will I go to the bathroom here! Sick. I'll hold it till I get home."
*Last night, I saw DMB in concert. I was 4 days away from turning 32, drove Jeremy's car and pretended I didn't have a minivan parked in the garage at home, drank a few beers, was sad that he didn't sing Dancing Nancies and Say Goodbye, and in the course of a 2-hour concert, visited the little girls' room 3 times. One time it was almost too late, people. Almost.
Okay, so I'm older. And so are Dave and the gang. But they still ROCK, and I still danced and sang and screamed like I was 17.
And I've added Dancing Nancies and Say Goodbye to my playlist. It isn't live, but it will have to do...until the Summer 2010 Tour...

Love it Katie. LOVE DMB!! I am leaving my 14th concert where I danced, screamed, jumped up and down and screamed when he started my FAVORITE song and in the process...peed a little. I guess his fans are getting old. ;)
I was in my mid-50's with my 3 Parr daughters at my one and only trip to see Dave. Felt privileged to even be invited. Had a ball!!!
I'm glad you had a great time!
Glad you had fun!
i am still basking in my dave glow..seriously..next year we look for a lost biker.. :)
Hey, I saw Dave for the first time with you and Lauren! That was so fun! Remember how muddy it was? I just saw him in Raleigh, and it was AWESOME! He played Dancing Nancies there--too bad he didn't wait a few days. He finished with Two Step--be still my heart!
