That's why when she told me this,

"Mommy. I've been holding my finger up in the air and singing to the birds, but none of them will land on it,"
I didn't have the heart to tell her, "Ain't never gonna happen." I mean...would you?!
So, last night, after she'd apparently been trying again to channel her inner Mary Poppins, this time with different songs, she asked why it wasn't working.

"Anna, ask your dad. Maybe he has an answer for you."

I love Anna! You're right about painfully cute.
That's hilarious. I love your "conversations with kids" posts.
She is exceptionally cute and so funny! :)
Yet another reason why Anna is my hero! And I think your answer was perfect. Jeremy never seems at a loss for words. I'm curious to know what his response was!
Anna: absolutely adorable; amazingly awesome; amusing; angelic; astounding animal advocate!!
Did Anna ask Dadddy? What did he say?
Adorable! The next time you go to the zoo, take her to the bird show - maybe they can make your little girl's dream come true!
So stinkin' cute! :) You'll have to tell us what Jeremy told her!!
That is so sweet. She is adorable!
Awww... this reminds me of our little Indian ringneck parrot. I had to teach him to fly because the breeder never gave him the chance to learn when he was a baby. Then I trained him to fly to my finger and land on it (he was a sucker for treats). How cool is that? He would even do it -- once in a while -- for my son. He passed away last December (the bird, not my son) and I miss him.
