Our group had a personal guided tour at the Historic Cherokee Caverns on Wednesday morning. I loved it because it was just our group, so we had an awesome tour with the owner of the property.
The kids even got to wiggle through the crawl space, which they wouldn't have gotten to do at a more commercial cavern.
After the caves, it was time to visit the Global Finals Expo downtown Knoxville.
There was a duct tape tree house to decorate. We were there on the first day, so we didn't get to see how it turned out after days of visitors. I bet it was awesome.
Wednesday night was the Opening Ceremonies and parade of nations. We were incredibly impressed with the ceremony, and were amazed that kids come from all over the world to compete in Destination Imagination. Texas is the biggest contingent, but most states were represented, as well as Mexico, Guatemala, Japan, China, Great Britain, Turkey, Singapore, Qatar, Brazil, all Canadian provinces, and many more!
