Eavesdropping

We had finished prayer time, and were doing the goodnight kiss rounds.  The little two girls were tucked safely into bed, and Jeremy was telling Anna goodnight.

"Anna, I am so proud to be your daddy.  You are an awesome person and I love you." 

All of a sudden, the bathroom door flew open (the girls share a Jack and Jill bathroom) into Anna's room.  It was Lucy.

"I heard what you said," she said angrily between gritted teeth.

"What's that, baby?"

"You said Anna was awesome."  Still angry.

"She is awesome.  Don't you think so, Lucy?"

"You didn't tell me I was awesome."
