Monday Musings

1. Isaac dances and it's awesome.  It makes me happy.  The Laurie Berkner Pandora station also makes me happy.  And it makes Isaac dance.  Smiles abound.  Thomas had his first crush on Laurie when she would sing the Bumblebee song on Noggin eight years ago in between shows.  Isaac will know it as Nick, Jr. and Moose A. Moose will keep him in tune between back to back episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba.  But with Laurie on Pandora, Isaac also gets Harry Belafonte and Barenaked Ladies (did you know they put out a children's cd?).

2. When Isaac is not dancing, he's crying.  Lots of tears in the 10th month.  Maybe more than the other nine combined.  Hoping this is a short phase.

3. We've already had lots of pool opportunities and it's still May!  Good for Thomas, Anna, Lucy, and Isaac.  Sad for Rose.  Not much longer with the casts.  We went to Robbie and Michael's for an early Memorial Day party yesterday.  It was a beautiful day.

4. I'm watching The Bachelorette for the first time this season.  All I can say is wow.  I'm really watching this.  I'm pretty sure they just fabricated a lightning storm.  and did this grown woman's mom just bring her breakfast in bed?

5. I had my third Lithotripsy last week.  Let's hope it was my last.  Kidney stones, be gone.  One funny story:  The machine that the doctor uses for the procedure is big and expensive.  So, instead of every hospital/surgery center having one, someone drives this machine around to the different hospitals in the area.  It comes to mine on Thursdays.  I have been picturing them actually wheeling me out to the truck for the surgery, but actually, they wheel the machine in through this big garage door-looking thing.  I was just about out when they wheeled me in and asked me if I could move from one bed to the other.  I sat up and the last thing I remember saying was, "This doesn't look like a truck."
