Lent

Lent has arrived.  Our liturgical year is such a gift, and Lent is a soul-feeding time for me.  I'm going to read another Henri Nouwen book this year--Discernment, as well as 40 Days, 40 Ways: A New Look at Lent by Marcellino D'Ambrosio.  We are going to do a family Lenten calendar as well.
I spent my first weekend of Lent teaming my first ACTS retreat.  It was a perfect way to kick-start the season, letting go of my pride, and serving with some wonderful women of faith at my church.  Before I could leave, there was a lot of preparation to be done.  I couldn't forget to prepare my family's first Friday meal...baked potato soup.  :)  (No bacon.)
I spent the weekend in prayer...in peace...in service...
